Assistant Manager – Engineering – Wild Wadi

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Engineering will support the Director of Engineering in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Wild Wadi Waterpark's facilities and equipment. This onsite position is based at the Madinat Jumeirah resort in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage Planned Preventative Maintenance and demand work‑order systems, ensuring accurate records.
• Lead, train and develop engineering staff, applying safety and emergency procedures consistently.
• Monitor departmental expenditure, energy consumption and operational performance to improve efficiency and asset reliability.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers and external contractors to address operational requirements and prevent unsafe conditions.
• Maintain engineering records and ensure compliance with company and municipal fire, life and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• At least 3 years of experience in waterpark or theme park operations or management.
• University degree or diploma in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, project management and communication skills with fluent English.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Technical knowledge of carpentry work.
• Technical knowledge of electrical systems.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
