Assistant Manager - Product

About the role

The Assistant Manager - Product will work closely with cross‑functional teams to turn business needs into technical solutions and drive product initiatives across our retail ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to create product roadmaps and translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Lead end‑to‑end software implementation programs, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery across multiple retail locations.
• Evaluate, integrate, and manage AI/ML technologies, APIs and third‑party solutions, making build‑vs‑buy decisions.
• Manage the product lifecycle: conduct market research, define success metrics, prioritize features and measure ROI.
• Drive adoption through change‑management strategies, training and documentation for retail stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, troubleshoot implementation issues and coordinate support teams.
• Monitor industry trends in AI and retail tech, presenting insights and recommendations to leadership.

Required profile

• 2+ years in product management, technical product management or solutions engineering.
• 4+ years building, architecting or deploying AI/ML solutions in production.
• 2+ years leading enterprise software implementations, preferably in retail or e‑commerce.
• Strong understanding of machine‑learning concepts, APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with retail processes such as merchandising, inventory, POS, supply chain and customer analytics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge business and technical teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in using Claude or ChatGPT to automate workflows.
• PMP, Agile or Scrum certification is a plus.
