Assistant Manager – Projects & Maintenance

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Projects & Maintenance will lead plant maintenance, project planning and execution to support production, safety and resource efficiency goals. Reporting to the Projects & Maintenance Manager, the role works closely with TotalEnergies headquarters, OEMs, local inspection agencies and regulatory authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead plant maintenance programmes and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Plan, coordinate and execute capital projects, including capex investment, statutory compliance and CO2e reduction initiatives.
• Manage asset integrity processes, liaising with OEMs, inspection agencies and facility contractors.
• Obtain necessary NOCs and permits from JAFZA, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Ports, Civil Defense, Customs, SIRA and other authorities.
• Ensure strict HSEQ compliance and drive process optimisation, energy efficiency and carbon‑neutrality projects.
• Oversee contractor activities and foster innovation through collaboration with local authorities.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and continuous‑improvement support to the Projects & Maintenance team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in plant maintenance and project management within an industrial environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of HSEQ standards and regulatory compliance in the UAE.
