Assistant or Associate Professor in Finance and FinTech

About the role

The College of Business at Abu Dhabi University is appointing a full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor in Finance and FinTech for the academic year 2025/26. The successful candidate will teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, conduct high-quality research and take part in college and university administrative and service work.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, financial technology and related disciplines.
• Build a research agenda leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals, with potential for interdisciplinary, practice-oriented research.
• Supervise student projects, internships and theses where applicable.
• Contribute to curriculum development and programme improvement aligned with accreditation standards and industry practice.
• Take part in departmental, college and university committees and academic initiatives.
• Keep up with professional development through training, workshops and conferences.
• Engage with the business and professional community and support university outreach and innovation.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in finance, financial technology or a closely related field from an internationally recognised university, preferably AACSB, EQUIS accredited or in the top 200 global rankings.
• At least two years of teaching experience in accredited higher education institutions.
• Proven record of scholarly research with publications in peer-reviewed journals; a proven record of curriculum development and innovative teaching in accounting is required.
• Experience in industry practice, consultancy or professional service is highly desirable; industry experience in auditing or financial reporting is also mentioned.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, CFtP or FDB are listed as desirable.
• Professional proficiency in English (oral and written); Arabic is preferred.
