Assistant Principal – Leadership Role in Abu Dhabi School

About the role

The Assistant Principal will support the Principal and Vice‑Principal in delivering high‑quality education at Mubarak Bin Mohammed Cycle 2&3 Charter School, an American‑curriculum primary school in Abu Dhabi. This senior leadership position starts in January 2027 and focuses on improving student achievement and staff performance.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and quality‑assure staff and student activities, ensuring a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Support the annual school assessment schedule and collaborate with senior leadership and department heads.
• Supervise, evaluate, and develop teachers, supervisors and curriculum support staff.
• Lead recruitment, screening and interviewing for both teaching and non‑teaching positions.
• Implement school improvement plans, standardized testing, remediation programmes and data‑driven reporting.
• Coordinate MAP/Exact Path achievement plans and oversee assessment processes.
• Facilitate professional development (CPD) initiatives for staff.
• Prepare and submit required reports, forms and data requests on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or B.Sc with PGCE; Master’s degree desirable.
• Minimum six years of experience, including at least four years of outstanding teaching performance and two years in a middle‑leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading initiatives that improve standards and achievement.
• Experience working with parents and external agencies.
