Head of Inclusion

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Head of Inclusion to lead and develop inclusive practices across its schools in Abu Dhabi. The role combines classroom teaching with strategic leadership of the inclusion team.

Key responsibilities

• Promote inclusion at all school levels and act as an exemplary classroom teacher.
• Line‑manage staff supporting children with special needs and maintain accurate IEPs and care plans.
• Review assessment data, identify priority areas and deliver targeted intervention programmes.
• Provide training for staff, families and external partners, and co‑teach differentiated lessons.
• Lead the school’s inclusion team, maintain SEN registers, and prepare documentation for regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with a SEN qualification (Master’s level or equivalent certification).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in SEN, including leadership of a learning‑support team in a primary or secondary school.

Required skills

• Proven ability to implement strategic inclusion initiatives and measure impact.
• Expertise in developing high‑quality IEPs, intervention plans and using data to monitor progress.
• Experience liaising with external specialists and delivering training to colleagues and families.
