Assistant Project Manager

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Senior Architect/Project Manager in delivering retail fit‑out projects across the UAE. The role combines architectural drawing, space planning, approvals coordination, tendering, budgeting and on‑site supervision to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create architectural drawing sets for authority, mall and execution submissions.
• Review MEP and lighting drawings from consultants and incorporate feedback.
• Conduct initial store space assessments, joint measurements with mall teams and prepare FIR documentation.
• Prepare and manage all documentation required for approvals from CD, municipality and mall authorities.
• Update drawings post‑approval, ensure optimal space planning and allocate project budget.
• Frame project schedules, invite tenders for non‑standard items and perform rate analysis for fit‑out and furnishings.
• Monitor warehouse stock, update fixture reports and assist vendors with BOQ details.
• Assist in fixture development, prepare civil/interior BOQs and measurement sheets.
• Provide weekly project status reports with photos, highlight bottlenecks and ensure adherence to schedules.
• Coordinate material specifications, troubleshoot site issues and conduct market surveys for cost‑effective solutions.
• Prepare CAPEX files, track budget deviations and certify vendor bills as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in retail fit‑out, construction or project coordination.
• Proven ability to work with consultants, mall authorities and multiple vendors.
• Strong analytical, reporting and documentation skills.
• Capability to manage several tasks simultaneously and take ownership of projects when needed.
