Assistant Research Scientist

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and research‑oriented professional to support scientific research projects. You will conduct experiments, collect and analyse data, review literature and help prepare research reports while working closely with senior scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior researchers in planning and executing research projects.
• Conduct experiments, laboratory tests and observations following approved protocols.
• Collect, organise, validate and analyse research data accurately.
• Review scientific literature and summarize findings.
• Prepare research summaries, technical reports, presentations and scientific documentation.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks, experimental records and research databases.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Support the preparation of research papers, conference presentations and publications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science, Physics).
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with research teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with data analysis or scientific software.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data‑visualisation tools.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, scientific instruments and standard operating procedures.
