Assistant Resident Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to support the Resident Engineer on an infrastructure, roads and landscaping project in Dubai. You will assist with day‑to‑day operational functions and ensure that work is executed in line with plans, specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform well‑defined field engineering assignments, including constructability reviews and observation of work in progress.
• Maintain first‑level quality assurance to confirm installations meet plans, specifications and standards.
• Assist construction personnel with technical details and provide resolutions for engineering problems.
• Review and interpret discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure correct technical execution.
• Establish and maintain liaison with design engineering staff.
• Monitor discipline construction schedules and provide progress appraisal data to the Resident Engineer.
• Monitor material procurement and deliveries to support construction activities.
• Ensure tests and inspections are performed, witnessed and documented according to approved procedures.
• Collaborate with construction management to eliminate hazards and ensure safe work practices.
• Maintain a daily log and technical catalogs for final project turnover.
• Review contractor submissions, supervise site inspection staff and prepare progress reports.
