Assistant Sous Chef – All Day Dining (Kitchen Six)

About the role

The Assistant Sous Chef will support the All Day Dining operation in Kitchen Six at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. You will help maintain high culinary standards, supervise kitchen staff and ensure seamless service for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen workers, overseeing food presentation and decorative displays.
• Monitor food preparation quantities, portioning, garnish and maintain kitchen logs for food safety compliance.
• Assist cooks with various tasks, provide necessary items and manage stock of kitchen supplies.
• Communicate menu specials and out‑of‑stock items to Food & Beverage service staff.
• Ensure food quality, report any non‑conforming products and uphold hygiene standards.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of relevant culinary experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or a related field.
• Commitment to follow safety, security and confidentiality policies.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform kitchen duties for extended periods.
