Assistant Storekeeper

About the role
The Assistant Storekeeper supports the Storekeeper in managing the flow of materials and equipment across the company. This role ensures accurate receipt, storage, and issue of items to minimise loss and waste, contributing to efficient operations in an industrial environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Storekeeper with receiving materials from suppliers and verifying documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records from receipt to posting in the inventory system.
- Store and safeguard valued materials, tools, and consumables.
- Document and monitor all material movements, including dispatch to project sites.
- Control consumables and track tool usage in and out of the store.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor or manager.
Required profile
- High school diploma.
- At least 1 year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably with heavy machinery.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and time‑management abilities.
Required skills
- Basic Microsoft Excel proficiency.
