Assistant/Associate Professor – Structural Geology

About the role

The Department of Geosciences at the United Arab Emirates University seeks highly qualified candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in Structural Geology. The role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising research, and developing a funded research program.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lectures and labs in structural geology, tectonics, general geology, and field geology.
• Mentor and advise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Develop and sustain an internally or externally funded research agenda.
• Publish research findings in top‑refereed journals.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental service.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Structural Geology or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated record of research accomplishments and grant acquisition.
• Commitment to teaching excellence and innovative pedagogy.
• Experience in programing and applying digital analysis or artificial intelligence is highly desirable.
• Practical or industrial experience is a plus.
