Associate - Debt Advisory & Restructuring

About the role

Hays is recruiting, on behalf of a leading independent financial advisory firm, a Debt Advisory & Restructuring Associate for its Dubai office. The role is execution-driven and suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deal-intensive environment. It involves working on several live transactions at once, owning analytical workstreams, building financial models and supporting the design and execution of financing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work on multiple transactions and project teams simultaneously, covering opportunity evaluation, transaction strategy and execution
• Review term sheets, debt documents and legal implementation across live processes
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate and complete debt advisory and restructuring transactions
• Prepare client presentations, information memoranda and offering documents
• Research relevant industries to support the team's marketing and origination initiatives
• Coordinate transaction processes internally and with external advisors

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in restructuring, debt advisory or investment banking
• Strong education background from a top university; an MBA or CFA is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple project deliverables in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including exceptional financial modelling and financial statement analysis
• Knowledge of debt instruments across corporate, leveraged, infrastructure and real estate situations
