Associate Director - Corporate Finance (Valuations)

About the role

KPMG Middle East is hiring an Associate Director for its Corporate Finance practice, focusing on valuations and financial modelling. The role covers complex business valuations, transaction and merger valuations, accounting-related valuations and purchase price allocation, and involves working closely with Directors and Partners.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a recognised resource for complex issues in the field of expertise and oversee large or complex assignments within budget and deadlines.
• Supervise the quality of reports and deliverables and ensure KPMG's quality standards are applied.
• Own end-to-end execution of engagements, advise clients on complex valuation issues and integrate different types of expertise to meet client needs.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, collaborate with other service lines on cross-functional engagements and accompany the Director/Partner in presenting reports and conclusions to clients.
• Manage conflicting situations, risk management issues and the billing and collection process, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Supervise and coordinate a team when circumstances require, and apply administrative standards in line with firm policies.

Required profile

• More than eight years of experience executing large and complex valuation engagements, primarily business valuation for transactions, merger valuation, purchase price allocation and accounting purposes.
• Certified Business Valuer (CBV), ASA or an equivalent designation; a graduate diploma (MBA or MSc Finance) or another professional designation such as CPA, CA or CFA is considered an asset.
• Ability to work longer hours as needed due to the urgent nature of assignments.
