Associate Director – Corporate Origination & Business Development (Remote)

About the role

The Associate Director – Corporate Origination and Business Development will lead Mashreq’s expansion in Saudi Arabia, originating new corporate relationships, managing cross‑border exposure, and coordinating the Saudi portfolio across the bank. The role requires close collaboration with risk, compliance, treasury and other units to deliver tailored financing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive origination of new‑to‑bank corporate clients in Saudi Arabia, structuring financing solutions and increasing market share.
• Oversee cross‑border exposure to Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance with regional regulations and internal risk policies.
• Coordinate the Saudi Arabia portfolio across Corporate Banking, Risk, Compliance, Treasury and other departments to align regional strategies.
• Maintain and update the Saudi Arabia framework to reflect market developments and regulatory changes, securing senior‑level approval.
• Provide regular performance reporting to senior leadership, highlighting exposure, transaction status and strategic insights.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of corporate banking experience with significant exposure to the Saudi Arabian and GCC markets.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi corporate banking landscape, key sectors, regulatory environment and competitive dynamics.
• Proven ability to structure and manage complex wholesale banking products such as corporate financing, trade finance, cash management, FX and derivatives.
• Solid credit and risk management expertise, with experience collaborating with credit control and risk teams.
