Associate Director - ELV

About the role

AECOM is seeking an Associate Director – ELV to lead its Buildings Design practice in Abu Dhabi. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on technical delivery for large‑scale building services projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage ELV and building services projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget and schedule.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, quality and innovation of engineering processes.
• Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary team of roughly nine professionals.
• Act as the primary liaison for clients, architects and consultants, aligning project goals and expectations.
• Oversee design, analysis and review of complex structural systems, ensuring code compliance and safety.
• Conduct design reviews, audits and risk assessments to guarantee reliability of solutions.
• Coordinate with the EC team and utilise UAE and EC resources across projects.
• Drive digital transformation using Revit, Revizto, ACC and BIM 360 for system optimisation and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Perform technical and commercial evaluations of building systems and develop project specifications.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in building services or ELV engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on large‑scale projects.
• Strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent client‑facing skills and ability to coordinate with architects and consultants.
