Associate Hook Up Engineer – Dubai

About the role

The Associate Hook Up Engineer applies established hook‑up procedures to address routine engineering challenges. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the role leverages conceptual knowledge of mechanical, electrical or process disciplines to support project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and executing hook‑up and commissioning activities for EPCI projects.
• Develop and maintain hook‑up databases, equipment registers and SAP inputs.
• Perform field inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, industry codes and safety regulations.
• Support the creation of detailed hook‑up procedures, pre‑commissioning checks, test protocols and start‑up plans.
• Participate in readiness reviews, handovers and documentation reviews to ensure smooth transition to operations.
• Identify and mitigate risks that could affect schedule or quality of hook‑up activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering.
• 2–3 years of discipline‑specific experience in hook‑up or commissioning.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross‑functional teams, vendors and clients.
• Proficiency with computer applications and data management tools.

Required skills

• SAP for equipment and material data handling.
• Hook‑Up Database Management System (HDMS) usage.
