Associate Internal Auditor (UAE)

About the role

The Associate – Internal Audit role supports the internal audit function, helping to ensure that operations are efficient, effective, and compliant with laws, regulations and internal policies. You will work across various functional areas, contributing to audit planning, execution and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating detailed audit plans that define scope, objectives and methodology.
• Conduct examinations of financial records, operational processes and internal controls, sometimes leading audit engagements.
• Analyze audit findings to identify root causes and assess potential impact.
• Document observations, findings and recommendations in clear audit reports.
• Report significant issues and improvement opportunities for the Group and its subsidiaries.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and track management actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in internal audit, preferably within investment or holding/conglomerate companies.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the UAE.
• Professional certifications such as CIA or CFE are a plus.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of auditing principles, practices and standards.
• Understanding of internal audit processes and control assessment.
• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
