Associate Professor

About the role

The United Arab Emirates University is seeking an Associate Professor to join its faculty. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise research, and contribute to the university’s academic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction in Special Education, Gifted Education, Inclusive Education, or related fields.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop and sustain a funded research program, publishing in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Participate in departmental and university service activities.
• Collaborate with local and international research partners.

Required profile

• Earned doctorate in Special Education, Gifted Education, Inclusive Education, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Evidence of scholarly publications and active research.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic and knowledge of the UAE education system are a plus.
