Associate Relationship Manager - Private Banking Front Office

About the role

Mashreq is hiring an Associate Relationship Manager for its Private Banking Front Office. The role supports Relationship Managers and the EAM coverage desk with client onboarding, documentation, KYC, agreements and ongoing maintenance, while also driving cross-selling of in-house strategies, deposits and bespoke account solutions to grow assets under management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the low end of the client base end to end and act as a backup to RMs, being the first point of contact for customer enquiries across channels
• Support RMs with KYC, keeping client documentation up to date and liaising with group compliance on escalations, AML/KYC/DTRs and RFIs
• Support Acquisition Managers in international corridors by coordinating with RMs to identify new business opportunities
• Run outbound calls to promote non-investment campaigns to existing private banking clients
• Service all banking needs such as account opening, maintenance, complaints, call backs, dormant accounts, cheque books, investments and insurance
• Generate account statements and investment portfolios, run pre-processing checks and keep daily trackers accurate within SLAs
• Ensure error-free checks, adhere to KYC checklists and help reduce transaction rejects and referrals
• Regularize exception reports and expired client documents, and handle customer complaints until resolution
• Use CRM and Face App accurately, and report on process improvements to the Line Manager
• Work with operations and governance to resolve audit objections and implement audit recommendations
• Keep the work area tidy, file documents securely and escalate issues in real time

Required profile

• Graduate with experience in banking or the service industry
• Good negotiation, decision-making and interpersonal skills
• Good spoken English and excellent writing skills
• Conversant with local regulations and business environment, very customer-oriented
• Able to manage difficult situations
