About the role
The Division of Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks an Associate Research Scientist to lead research in integrated photonics and optoelectronic device development, focusing on silicon photonics with applications in communications, sensing, and computing.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct research on silicon photonics and related optoelectronic devices.
- Design, fabricate, and characterize photonic devices using state‑of‑the‑art facilities.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in science or engineering with at least three years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in silicon photonics; expertise in plasmonics, nanophotonics, or 2D materials is advantageous.
