Associate Vice President, Commerce, MENA

About the role

WPP Media, WPP's AI-driven media operating unit, is looking for an Associate Vice President, Commerce, MENA based in Dubai. The role drives online sales growth by integrating media strategies with e-commerce initiatives, overseeing the planning, execution and optimisation of media campaigns across digital platforms to increase product visibility, traffic and conversion. It works in a matrix environment with Data & Tech, Programmatic, Performance, Content & SEO.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement tailored commerce strategies for clients, aligned with their objectives, readiness and maturity
• Oversee retail media planning, activation and optimisation, including operational resource planning across departments
• Manage client commerce teams and track and optimise client KPIs to support retention
• Upskill the team and expand clients' scope with new commerce solutions
• Educate clients on emerging market trends and help with new business pitches and product development

Required profile

• 8-10 years' experience in digital/e-commerce media preferred
• Strong knowledge of Amazon and e-retail merchandising and media in the Middle East
• Experience in FMCG, retail, e-commerce/shoppers market and direct response is a plus
• Entrepreneurial spirit, comfort with budgets and numbers, and ability to prioritise retailer, client and agency demands
