Associate/Assistant Professor – Physiotherapy

About the role

The College of Health Sciences at Gulf Medical University seeks an experienced academic to join its Physiotherapy department as an Associate or Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality teaching, advancing research, and contributing to the university community.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and continuously update undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy courses, including lectures, labs, and clinical sessions.
• Develop assessment rubrics, create exams, grade assignments, and provide formative feedback to students.
• Supervise student research projects, experiential training, and professional placement programs.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, plan procurement, and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Participate in scholarly research, publish in recognized journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the department.
• Engage in university committees, faculty development activities, and community outreach such as workshops and short courses.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Physiotherapy.
• Demonstrated excellence in university‑level teaching.
• Strong record of research achievements and publications.
• Minimum of three years post‑PhD teaching experience at reputable universities.
