Associate/Full Professor – Operational Management & Quality (PhD Supervision)

About the role

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University seeks a dynamic academic leader to join its PhD in Quality Management program. The successful candidate will teach graduate courses, supervise doctoral research, and contribute to the university’s research and accreditation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver graduate‑level courses such as Quantitative Research Methods, Statistics, Service Quality and Excellence, and Implementation of Quality Management.
• Update curricula to incorporate emerging trends like AI‑driven operations and modern quality management practices.
• Publish research in high‑impact, Scopus/WoS‑indexed journals and secure external research funding.
• Mentor and supervise PhD candidates through all dissertation stages.
• Support program accreditation, build industry partnerships, and raise the program’s visibility.

Required profile

• PhD in Operational Management, Quality Management, or a related field from an AACSB‑accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years (associate) or 10 years (full) post‑PhD academic experience with a proven record of teaching excellence and research impact.
• Demonstrated success in supervising PhD dissertations in operational or quality management topics.
• Experience with online or hybrid teaching formats is preferred.
