Associate/Professor in Operational Management & Quality – PhD Supervision

About the role

Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, a leading institution in higher education and innovation, is seeking a dynamic Associate Professor or Professor in Operational Management & Quality. The role focuses on advancing the PhD program in Quality Management through teaching, research, and doctoral supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses such as Quantitative Research Methods, Statistics, Service Quality and Excellence, and Implementation of Quality Management.
• Develop and update curriculum to incorporate emerging trends like AI-driven operations and sustainable practices.
• Publish research in high‑impact, Scopus/WoS‑indexed journals and secure external research funding.
• Supervise PhD candidates throughout their dissertation process.
• Contribute to program accreditation, industry partnerships, and enhance program visibility.

Required profile

• PhD in Operational Management, Quality Management, or a related field from an AACSB‑accredited institution.
• Proven experience teaching the listed graduate courses, preferably with online/hybrid delivery.
• Strong record of scholarly publications and successful research grant acquisition.
• Demonstrated success in supervising doctoral dissertations in operational or quality management.
• For Associate Professor rank: minimum 5 years post‑PhD academic experience; for Full Professor rank: minimum 10 years with distinguished achievements.
