Attendance Officer

About the role

Rugby School Dubai is looking for an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Attendance Officer to join the school community from November 2026. Based in the reception, you will lead daily monitoring and improvement of pupil attendance and punctuality while supporting the front‑of‑house team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate pupil attendance and absence records, monitor daily attendance and identify patterns or concerns.
• Communicate promptly with parents and carers about absences, work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and school leaders, and escalate issues according to policy.
• Produce regular attendance reports, analyse trends and suggest process improvements.
• Provide a professional first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors and staff, manage visitor sign‑in/out and support general administration.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an administrative, attendance, pastoral or school office role.
• Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with school information management systems and attendance systems (e.g., iSAMS).
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
