Engineering Type Instructor – Aircraft Maintenance Training

About the role

Emirates Engineering Training seeks an experienced Engineering Type Instructor to organise and deliver type‑specific and task‑based training for the Emirates Engineering fleet, ensuring compliance with GCAA and EASA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and deliver approved type‑specific and task training for the Emirates Engineering fleet in line with GCAA and EASA regulations.
• Conduct basic aircraft maintenance engineering modules (Modules 1‑17) and specialised courses such as cabin maintenance, engine overhaul, borescope inspection and human‑factors training.
• Develop, review and update course material, examination papers and question banks in accordance with the Engineering Procedures Manual, MOE and MTOE.
• Act as a designated examiner, analyse examination results and implement corrective actions where required.
• Facilitate engine run‑up sessions, classroom and simulator training, and online synchronous learning via MS Teams.

Required profile

• Degree or honours in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Avionics, Electronic or related engineering discipline (12+3 or equivalent).
• At least 8 years of engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years as an Aircraft Instructor.
• Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence (B1/B2) and approval on at least one major type (e.g., B777, A380, A350).
• Thorough knowledge of GCAA CAR 66/145/147 and EASA Part 66/145/147 licensing systems.

Required skills

• Aircraft Type Cat B1.1/B2 training delivery.
• Engine run‑up and borescope inspection techniques.
• Use of Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM) and Emirates Procedures Manuals (EPMs).
• Online distance‑learning facilitation via MS Teams.
