AutoCAD Designer

About the role

ABS METALS CUTTING LLC is seeking a detail‑oriented AutoCAD Designer to join its technical design team in Dubai. You will translate client specifications and blueprints into accurate production‑ready drawings for metal fabrication.

Key responsibilities

• Create precise 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Read, interpret and review blueprints, technical drawings and client specifications.
• Revise and update existing drawings based on design changes and production requirements.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure designs are practical and production‑ready.
• Maintain organized drawing documentation and file systems.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience as an AutoCAD Designer in metal fabrication, manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
• Solid understanding of sheet‑metal materials, cutting tolerances and fabrication processes.

Required skills

• AutoCAD
• SolidWorks (or other 3D CAD software)
• Experience preparing files for CNC laser cutting, V‑grooving, bending and perforation.
• Knowledge of nesting software and cutting‑optimization tools.
• Familiarity with TRUMPF or DURMA machinery.
