AutoCAD Drafter / CAD Technician

About the role

The AutoCAD Drafter / CAD Technician will join Unified Aviation’s engineering team to create, maintain and update high‑quality technical drawings for both standard products and project‑specific solutions. Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will ensure that all drawings are accurate, compliant and ready for fabrication, assembly and client submission.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain AutoCAD 2D drawings for products, including general arrangements, detail views, assemblies and standard components.
• Update master drawing sets as designs evolve, applying revision control and incorporating lessons learned from production.
• Develop and manage drawing templates, layers, blocks, title blocks and drafting standards.
• Create project‑specific drawings that adapt standard products to site conditions and client requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, production and installation teams to ensure drawings reflect real‑world constraints.
• Prepare drawing packages for authority submissions, client approvals and contractor issues.
• Maintain accurate dimensioning, annotations, tolerances and ensure compliance with internal and aviation‑related standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of experience in AutoCAD drafting or similar CAD environments.
• Proven ability to work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering error‑free documentation.
