Aviation Trainer

About the role

Blue Ocean Corporation, a global consulting, training and conferences group with over 25 years of experience, is looking for an Aviation Trainer. The trainer delivers classroom and virtual training, prepares students for IATA certification exams and works with a multicultural student audience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct engaging classroom and virtual training sessions, workshops, webinars and practical learning activities.
• Assess student performance through examinations, assignments and mock tests, and give constructive feedback and individual guidance.
• Run revision sessions and mock examinations to prepare students for IATA certification exams.
• Incorporate industry examples and practical insights into training delivery.
• Stay up to date on aviation industry developments, IATA regulations and emerging training methods, and take part in professional development activities.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and professional learning environment for a multicultural student audience.

Required profile

• Valid IATA certification relevant to the training domain.
• At least 5 years of experience in the aviation industry, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Mandatory experience working with an airline.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a master's degree is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IATA regulations, standards, procedures and industry practices.
• Proven ability to develop comprehensive and effective training materials.
• Excellent communication, presentation and classroom management skills.
• Proficiency in training tools and technologies for classroom and virtual learning.
• Ability to motivate and manage students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
