Primary Teacher - Jan 2027 Start

About the role

An international school in the UAE is recruiting a primary teacher for a January 2027 start. The role centres on helping all students become confident, independent lifelong learners, using strong subject knowledge, good pedagogy and ICT to deliver high-quality teaching across all ages and attainment levels.

Key responsibilities

• Encourage and enable students to become effective, confident and independent lifelong learners.
• Use excellent subject knowledge, pedagogic and interpersonal skills to help students experience great learning.
• Make full use of ICT and new technologies to improve teaching and learning for students of all ages and attainment levels.
• Plan lessons that take account of each student's individual learning needs, style, preferences and capabilities.
• Promote students' intellectual, moral, spiritual, cultural, physical and personal development, and give them guidance on educational and social matters.
• Embed UAE heritage and culture within the curriculum.
• Work with the Head of School and colleagues on courses of study, teaching materials, schemes, methods, assessment and pastoral arrangements.

Required profile

• Relevant UK teaching qualification: minimum of a BEd or BA/BSc plus PGCE/QTS in Primary education.
• A minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in a British school, either internationally or in the UK; strong NQTs will also be considered.
• Excellent working knowledge of the UK Curriculum and its latest practices.
• Experience of working with EAL, ELL and SEND students.

• Excellent IT skills and command of English, spoken and written.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a collaborative team spirit.
• Excellent classroom management.
