Azure Platform Engineer – Enterprise Hub & Spoke

About the role

The Azure Platform Engineer will design, implement and maintain enterprise‑scale Azure networking and data platforms for the EDM project. You will work within a hub‑spoke landing zone architecture, ensuring secure connectivity, high availability and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and configure hub‑spoke VNets, VNet peering, route tables, NSGs, Azure Firewall and private DNS zones.
• Implement shared services networking, routing validation and troubleshooting across centralized firewall environments.
• Administer Azure Data Services including Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Event Hub, Cosmos DB, ADLS Gen2 and Azure Database for PostgreSQL.
• Manage Databricks workspaces, Unity Catalog, cluster policies, secret scopes and monitoring.
• Deploy and operate Azure Front Door, Application Gateway (WAF), API Management and AKS clusters with ingress controllers and private connectivity.

Required profile

• 7+ years of Azure Data Platform experience.
• Strong background in enterprise hub‑spoke Azure Landing Zones and networking.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of micro‑service architecture and cloud security best practices.

Required skills

• Azure VNet design, peering, UDR, NSG, Azure Firewall, Private DNS, Private Endpoints.
• Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Event Hub, Cosmos DB, ADLS Gen2, PostgreSQL.
• Databricks workspace administration, Unity Catalog, cluster policies, secret scopes.
• Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, pipelines, release management.
• Azure Front Door, Application Gateway (WAF), API Management, AKS, Kubernetes networking.
