B2 Aircraft Engineer with Base Maintenance

About the role

Etihad is looking for experienced and certifying B2 Aircraft Engineers with base maintenance experience. The engineer performs and certifies maintenance in line with Etihad's authorization policy and leads and guides Aircraft Technicians so that all maintenance is carried out safely, efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory and technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Certify own work and the work of others after verifying that tasks were done according to approved data and within the scope of authorization.
• Complete all documentation accurately and on time, in line with company procedures.
• Carry out maintenance in compliance with company, health and safety and airport regulations.
• Prepare materials, parts, tools, equipment and documentation at the start of each shift and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment to prevent FOD.
• Guide and assist Technicians in safe and effective working practices and keep equipment and work areas clean, serviceable and safe.
• Interact professionally with colleagues, stakeholders and customers, and take part in training and development.
• Follow the Safety & Quality Management Manual (SQMM), encourage a culture of safety and positive reporting, and conduct inspections of Ground Support Equipment and company vehicles as required.

Required profile

• High School Leaving Certificate, Diploma or University degree.
• Valid aircraft maintenance license (GCAA, EASA Part-66 or ICAO type convertible to GCAA).
• At least 7-10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of overall certifying experience in a base/light maintenance environment.
• At least 2-3 years of certifying experience on at least two of Etihad aircraft types (Airbus A320/A330neo/A350/A380, Boeing 777/787) with valid company authorization.
