Bakery Commis (Level 1) – Dubai

About the role

The Bakery Commis (Level 1) will join the culinary team at Voco Dubai The Palm, preparing a wide range of baked goods for hotel guests. This full‑time position offers the chance to work in a vibrant hotel environment while developing bakery skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of bakery products including bread, rolls, Danish, croissants, muffins and cakes.
• Follow standard recipes, production schedules and presentation guidelines while ensuring portion and quality standards.
• Maintain food quality, storage procedures, cost control and sanitation in coordination with the Sous Chef and Chief Steward.
• Comply with health, safety and HACCP food‑handling standards and attend required training.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a bakery kitchen, with at least 1 year in a similar commis role.
• Strong knowledge of bakery and pastry production and solid understanding of HACCP procedures.
• Good practical, operational and administrative skills with a team‑player attitude.
