Bar Supervisor (Head Bartender)

About the role

BeatBAB is a hospitality concept combining tapas, expressive drinks and an analog listening culture, described as a cultural platform where food, drink and music form one continuous mood. The Bar Supervisor leads the bar team to deliver exceptional guest experiences through high-quality beverage preparation, mixology expertise and superior customer service. The role covers bar operations, inventory management, team supervision and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency and adherence to company policies and service standards.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and monitor guest behaviour to ensure responsible alcohol service.
• Demonstrate advanced mixology skills, develop and innovate cocktail recipes, and help the Bar Manager create beverage menus.
• Train and mentor staff on mixology, beverage knowledge and presentation standards.
• Supervise bartenders and barbacks, give performance feedback, and support the Bar Manager with recruitment, scheduling and workload management.
• Manage bar inventory, monitor stock levels and reduce waste through accurate ordering, storage and rotation.
• Oversee cash handling, billing and reconciliation with the Bar Manager.
• Engage with guests personally, resolve issues, promote specials and events, and drive sales.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in Hospitality or Mixology is preferred.
• Extensive experience as a bartender, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Advanced mixology and beverage knowledge, including cocktails, spirits and wine pairings.
• Inventory management, cost control and bar operations.
