Barge Vessel Client Representative – Offshore Project Lead

About the role

The Barge/Vessel Client Representative will act as the focal point for ADNOC Offshore installation campaigns, representing the project management team and maintaining direct communication with the client and internal Bureau Veritas stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for the client, contractors, TPA and operations personnel during offshore installation activities.
• Coordinate daily site communications and liaise closely with the ADNOC Offshore Marine Representative on all marine‑related tasks.
• Ensure strict adherence to approved construction procedures, risk assessments and MOC changes.
• Supervise contractor work, review change‑order requests, and produce daily progress and incident reports.
• Arrange work permits, conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks and emergency response drills.

Required profile

• B.Sc. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years offshore oil & gas construction experience, including at least 10 years with jacket, deck, bridge, subsea cable, pipeline or riser installation.
• Deep knowledge of offshore construction practices, marine safety regulations, QA/QC, welding and coating standards.
• Familiarity with SOLAS, MODU and ADNOC HSE/Marine standards.
• Proven ability to manage permits, safety meetings and emergency response plans on offshore sites.
