Barista - All Day Dining

About the role

JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai is hiring a Barista for its All Day Dining kitchen. The barista prepares and serves coffee, beverages and light food items while delivering excellent guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, beverages and food items according to company standards
• Take guest orders, process payments and record transactions in the MICROS system
• Set up, stock and maintain the coffee cart and work areas
• Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment, restocking supplies, securing cash banks and locking designated areas
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, equipment and service areas throughout the shift
• Handle cash and follow cashiering, auditing and security procedures
• Monitor and operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and correctly
• Greet guests, anticipate their needs, resolve concerns and create a positive experience
• Follow Marriott policies on safety, hygiene, security and confidentiality, and support teamwork

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• No related work experience required
• No supervisory experience required
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods and to move, lift and carry objects of up to 25 pounds
