About the role

Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park is seeking a service‑oriented Food & Beverage Barista to join its team. The role involves preparing high‑quality coffee drinks and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of handcrafted coffee beverages, specialty teas and seasonal drinks in line with IHG brand standards.
• Deliver warm, accurate service, recommend menu items and respond proactively to guest needs.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring workstations are organized and sanitized.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain coffee equipment, coordinating with maintenance for any issues.
• Manage inventory, apply FIFO procedures, minimise waste and process POS transactions accurately.
• Build positive relationships with guests, residents and local professionals, gathering feedback and addressing service requirements.
• Report hazards, accidents and equipment defects promptly to uphold safety and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years barista experience in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel, high‑volume café or specialty coffee outlet in Dubai/UAE.
• High school diploma or equivalent; barista certification (e.g., SCA) or hospitality diploma preferred.
• Valid Basic Food Hygiene Certification compliant with Dubai Municipality rules (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
• Friendly, guest‑first mindset with flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays.
