Barista / Bartender

About the role

Rixos Premium Dubai JBR, a luxury hotel offering Turkish hospitality, is hiring a bar staff member. The role covers preparing and serving drinks, managing the bar counter and supporting the outlet's daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverage orders according to recipes and service standards, and know all bar products and cocktail recipes.
• Upsell to each customer and deliver personalised, efficient and friendly service.
• Prepare mise-en-place, perform side duties and collect general and food and beverage requisitions.
• Follow opening and closing procedures, check beverage stock and keep the bar counter and surroundings clean and organised.
• Monitor operating supplies, reduce spoilage and wastage, and display premium liquors properly.
• Handle guest enquiries courteously, build good customer relationships and perform cashiering duties.
• Have ready garnishes for all cocktails on opening and train new recruits on the job.
• Assist in training employees, carry out periodic equipment inventories and perform duties in the Banqueting Department or elsewhere when needed.
• Report to duty on time in uniform, follow the Employee Handbook, fire, hygiene, health and safety policies and local legislation, and be flexible to redeploy where required.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality.
• 1-2 years of experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
