Barista

About the role

Accor Plus is looking for a motivated Barista to join its hospitality team in the United Arab Emirates. You will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages according to established recipes while delivering friendly, efficient service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverage orders following recipes and service standards.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all bar products, cocktail recipes, and garnishes.
• Upsell products to each customer and ensure high‑quality, personalized service.
• Perform cash‑handling duties and adhere to outlet cashiering procedures.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place, manage side duties, and handle food and beverage requisitions.
• Follow opening and closing procedures, monitor stock, and control waste.
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, and properly displayed.
• Assist with guest enquiries, build rapport, and maintain professional appearance.
• Train and coach new recruits on‑the‑job.
• Support inventory counts and occasional Banqueting Department tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in a bar or coffee service environment.
• Strong knowledge of beverage preparation, cocktail recipes, and garnishing.
• Ability to upsell, handle cash transactions accurately, and follow standard operating procedures.
• Professional appearance, punctuality, and adherence to uniform and hygiene standards.
• Willingness to train colleagues and contribute to a team‑oriented atmosphere.
