Barista

About the role

BHND is an elevated burger concept focused on doing one product exceptionally well, combining top-tier produce, open-fire cooking and trained hospitality in a refined counter setting. The Barista prepares high-quality coffee, beverages and light food items while delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring consistency in drink preparation, keeping the bar clean and helping create a welcoming café/restaurant atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare coffee, tea, specialty drinks and other beverages according to brand standards and recipes, with consistent taste, presentation and quality.
• Welcome guests, take orders efficiently and give knowledgeable recommendations, ensuring a warm and engaging experience.
• Keep the coffee station, equipment and utensils clean and organised, following hygiene, safety and sanitation standards.
• Monitor stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups and consumables, communicate replenishment needs and ensure items are stored and rotated correctly.
• Process orders, handle payments accurately and keep the counter tidy.
• Follow company SOPs, recipes and service guidelines to keep consistency across drinks and guest interactions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and brewing methods.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
