Bartender

About the role

Novotel World Trade Centre is looking for an experienced Bartender who welcomes guests and delivers a high standard of bar service in line with the hotel brand standards and values. The role involves serving drinks, managing the bar area and working closely with other hotel staff.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, take drink orders professionally and in a timely way, and prepare and serve cocktails, wine and beer.
• Maintain a clean and organised bar area, stock supplies and clean glassware.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service and comply with all legal requirements.
• Engage with guests, give recommendations and offer food and drink pairing suggestions.
• Process payments and handle cash accurately.
• Create signature drinks and specials, and take part in training on new recipes, menu changes and service standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff on food and beverage orders and assist other staff during busy periods.
• Help with inventory management, order supplies and track stock levels.
• Take part in promotional events and themed nights, and build relationships with regular guests.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a bartender in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of beverages, cocktail recipes and mixology techniques.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle several tasks at once.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and serving drinks.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service and compliance with regulations.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Certification in bartending or alcohol serving is an advantage.
