Cluster Carpenter

About the role

Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel is looking for a qualified Cluster Carpenter to cut, fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications. The job involves working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products.

Key responsibilities

• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials such as fiberglass according to measurements
• Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Lay out flooring, roofing or drywall, ensuring they are level and compatible
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
• Inspect places and carry out repairs or maintenance
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

Required profile

• Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property is required
• Proven work experience as a Carpenter
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage
