Bartender - Meridien Club Lounge

About the role

The Meridien Club Lounge in Dubai is looking for a full-time, non-management bartender. The role is about building a memorable guest experience: bartenders know the basics of mixing drinks but stay alert to new trends, local offerings and guests' changing needs. They act as hosts of the space, take ownership of guest service beyond the bar, and build relationships across the hotel and in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Mix drinks and keep the bar looking and functioning flawlessly
• Anticipate and meet guests' needs, from the accuracy of payments handled to the quality of drinks served
• Build relationships with colleagues across the hotel and in the wider community
• Follow company policies and procedures, protect company assets, maintain confidentiality and present a professional uniform and appearance
• Work on your feet and move around, lifting and carrying objects up to 25 pounds and reaching overhead and below the knees

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• No supervisory experience required
• Passion for the guest service experience and attention to detail
