Beekeeper – Full‑time role in United Arab Emirates

About the role

The Beekeeper will manage and monitor bee colonies to ensure healthy hive development, optimal honey production, and effective pollination support. Working on‑site at apiary locations across the United Arab Emirates, the role combines routine inspections, colony care, and product harvesting while adhering to safety, animal welfare, and food‑handling standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect hives regularly to assess colony health, brood development, queen condition, and food stores.
• Identify and report signs of disease, pests, swarming, or environmental stress.
• Maintain and replace queens, manage brood frames, and balance hive populations throughout the season.
• Provide supplemental feeding, water, and other approved support as needed.
• Control pests, parasites, and diseases using approved, regulated methods.
• Install, maintain, repair, and replace hive equipment such as boxes, frames, foundations, and feeders.
• Position hives strategically based on forage availability, weather, and accessibility.
• Assist with pollination operations by transporting and monitoring colonies at agricultural sites.
• Harvest honey, beeswax, propolis, pollen, and royal jelly, operating extraction and processing equipment.
• Ensure all harvested products are stored, labeled, and packaged according to food‑safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, feeding, and production data.

Required profile

• At least one month of practical beekeeping experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to follow safety, animal welfare, environmental, and food‑handling regulations.
• Attention to detail for record‑keeping and hive health monitoring.
