Bid Manager – Infrastructure & Marine (French Speaking)

About the role

The Bid Manager is responsible for securing new infrastructure and marine projects across the Middle East and Africa. This position leads high‑value tenders from inception to award, ensuring each submission is commercially sound, technically robust, and aligned with Six Construct’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage each tender as an independent project with full administrative and financial oversight.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary internal and external teams (engineering, planning, procurement, legal, finance, HSE) to develop compliant and competitive bids.
• Lead cost estimation, pricing strategy and financial modelling to meet target margins and risk thresholds.
• Conduct contractual and commercial risk analyses, including review of international contract frameworks such as FIDIC.
• Organise and lead site visits, progress and coordination meetings with clients and partners.
• Handle clarifications and lead commercial and technical negotiations.
• Ensure high‑quality submissions, strict deadline adherence and compliance with corporate governance and quality procedures.
• Support structured hand‑over to project delivery teams upon contract award.
• Leverage experience in African markets and manage French‑speaking projects and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical field.
• 8‑12 years of construction industry experience, with at least 5 years in bid management or tendering.
• Proven track record delivering bids for infrastructure and marine projects such as ports, quay walls, dredging, coastal works, bridges and heavy civil works.
• Demonstrated experience leading tenders across Africa.
• Strong commercial expertise and ability to operate in complex, multicultural environments.

Required skills

• Familiarity with FIDIC contract framework.
