Billing Accountant – International Invoicing & Collections

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Billing Accountant to join our finance team on a contractual basis. You will own the end‑to‑end billing process for multiple international entities, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, and strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on schedule.
• Manage the accounts receivable ledger, monitor balances and follow up on overdue accounts via email and phone.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers while ensuring timely collections.
• Resolve billing and account queries professionally and efficiently.
• Reconcile customer accounts, investigate payment discrepancies and allocate incoming receipts.
• Prepare customer statements and ageing reports.
• Coordinate with Sales, Warehouse and Finance teams to resolve order and billing issues.
• Escalate high‑risk accounts when necessary and support month‑end AR closing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Billing or Customer Service.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong telephone manner and professional customer handling.
• High attention to detail, organisational ability and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
