BIM Architect

About the role

This full-time, mid-level BIM architect position in Abu Dhabi covers architectural design and BIM modelling, delivering designs that meet client needs, project objectives and industry standards. The role ensures accurate translation of design concepts into construction through coordination with engineers, contractors and stakeholders, while keeping projects compliant with building codes, safety regulations and sustainability principles.

Key responsibilities

• Develop architectural concepts, plans and designs based on client requirements and regulatory standards
• Produce detailed drawings, blueprints and models using software such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar tools
• Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective and aligned with structural and engineering specifications
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences and budget, and present concepts for approval
• Advise on materials, sustainability and environmental impact
• Work with engineers, contractors and other stakeholders so the design is built correctly, and review design changes during construction
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations and accessibility standards
• Prepare project documentation, assist with bids, tenders and proposals, and report regularly to the director
• Mentor junior architects and designers, and take part in team meetings and design strategy

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
• 4 to 6 years of experience
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials and building codes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving
