BIM Specialist

About the role

Parsons is seeking a BIM Specialist to develop and manage digital building models, ensuring precision and compliance with project requirements. The role involves collaborating with project teams and providing technical guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize BIM software to develop and manage digital models.
• Support preparation, review, and execution of implementation/management plans at program/project level.
• Collaborate with project teams for effective model integration and respond to client queries.
• Produce model assurance reports and assist in drafting special provisions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff and contribute to training materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles applied to modeling assignments.
• Understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of BIM software packages and modeling workflows.
• Proficiency with Common Data Environment (CDE) tools such as ProjectWise or ACC.
• Ability to develop 2D symbology, families, parametric parts, and sub‑assemblies.
• Effective computer skills with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and database software.
