Blockchain Core Developer

About the role

BNB Chain is looking for a Blockchain Core Developer to help build and maintain the core client software that powers its public blockchain ecosystem. You will work with a global, open-source community to deliver high-performance, secure, and reliable blockchain infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise the core blockchain client, including node implementation, P2P networking and consensus mechanisms.
• Design and implement new features to improve performance, stability and security.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and collaborate with other engineers to uphold high code quality.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to network sync, state management and transaction processing.
• Contribute to technical documentation and specifications for the client.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2-3 years of engineering experience, preferably in infrastructure or systems development.
• Strong logical thinking and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with distributed systems, concurrent programming and network protocols.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Rust (preferred) or Golang.
• Knowledge of blockchain concepts such as consensus algorithms, state transition models and cryptography.
• Familiarity with blockchain client development for platforms like Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Sui, Aptos or Solana.
• Experience with performance profiling and optimisation of high-throughput systems.
